Do you love the sound of the voice? When it comes to my voice, most people think I am from Los Angeles and they can’t get enough of my laugh. When it comes to my voice, I focus on making sure I am heard no matter what.
When I attended She Leads 2017, I met Casey Erin Clark, the Co-Founder of Vital Voice Training and I was completely mesmerized with the vocal training exercises she was teaching. So, I knew I had to speak with her for the Dressing Room 8 family.
Who is Casey Erin Clark? She is a professional actress who, after 18 months on tour with Les Miserables, read the book Half the Sky and got very fired up about issues facing women in the world today. The answer to “what can I do?” came out of her knowledge of and passion for the human voice. Having spent the previous 12 years teaching vocal production, public speaking, accent modification, and singing to clients of all ages, Casey co-founded Vital Voice Training, a voice and speech coaching company out to change the conversation about what women are “SUPPOSED” to sound like and help clients speak, sell, pitch, and present their ideas with authentic confidence and a deep connection to their core values.
Acting credits include the national tour and the 2013 Oscars performance of Les Miserables (Factory Girl, understudy Fantine, and the 2013 Oscars performance), two Off-Broadway musicals, and regional favorites including The Sound of Music (Maria, STL Post Best Actress Awards) and Little Women (Jo, Kevin Kline Award nomination). Some of her favorite work in the big city has been taking part in the development dozens of new musicals. She’ll soon be featured on the concept album for The Innocence, and her debut album The Song Begins is available on iTunes and Spotify.
